I Don’t Wanna Be Good for Nothing

I DON’T WANNA BE GOOD FOR NOTHING

141

INTRO

CHORUS

Am I good for nothing?

Have I lost my usefulness?

I don’t wanna be good nothing

I don’t wanna lose my saltiness

VERSE 1

Ye are the salt of the earth, yeah

But if the salt have lost his savour

How shall it be salted?

It is thenceforth good for nothing yeah

But to be cast out

And be trodden under foot

What is the point of my life, yeah

If I don’t serve the Lord

If I am not the salt of the earth

CHORUS

I don’t wanna be good for nothing

I don’t wanna lose my usefulness

I don’t wanna be good nothing

I don’t wanna lost my saltiness

VERSE 2

If I will not preach the word, yeah

And tell the world about Jesus

Then why did God save me?

I wanna build the Church, yeah

I wanna serve the Lord

I wanna be on the mission

That is my reasonable service

I don’t want to be good for nothing

I am the salt of the earth

CHORUS

I don’t wanna be good for nothing

I don’t wanna lose my usefulness

I don’t wanna be good nothing

I don’t wanna lost my saltiness

INTERLUDE

VERSE 3

I am the light of the world yeah

I want my light

To shine before men

That they may see my good works yeah

And glorify the Father

Which is in heaven

I don’t wanna hide my light under the table

I want to bring

Glory to God

CHORUS 2

I don’t wanna be good for nothing

I don’t wanna lose my usefulness

I don’t wanna be good nothing

I don’t wanna lost my saltiness
