He Wanted Me

VERSE 1

He wanted me

He really liked me

And He chose me

To serve Him in His courts

As a young man

He saved me and He delivered me

He called me and He anointed me

He gave me great opportunity

CHORUS

I count all things but loss for Christ

For the excellency of knowing Him

For whom I’ve suffered much

The loss of all things

I count them but dung for Christ

That I may gain Jesus Christ

He wanted me

I have sweet memories

Interlude

VERSE 2

And travail for me

CHORUS

I count all things but loss for Christ

For the excellency of knowing Him

For whom I’ve suffered much

The loss of all things

I count them but dung for Christ

That I may gain Jesus Christ

BRIDGE

Anyone who wants to come to Him

Must suffer loss to gain his life

He will lose something

He will be hurt

It’s a real battle

But it’s a blessing

CHORUS

I count all things but loss for Christ

For the excellency of knowing Him

For whom I’ve suffered much

The loss of all things

I count them but dung for Christ

That I may gain Jesus Christ

VAMP

(Hey!)

He wanted you and He chose you

He liked you and wanted to send you

He wanted you so He could use you

What a blessing, what a love

CHORUS

I count all things but loss for Christ

For the excellency of knowing Him

For whom I’ve suffered much

The loss of all things I count them but dung for Christ

That I may gain Jesus Christ

CHORUS

I count all things but loss for Christ

For the excellency of knowing Him

For whom I’ve suffered much

So much the loss of all things I count them but dung for Christ

That I may gain Jesus Christ
