Wise as Serpents

CHORUS

If you’re not harmless as doves

You will never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh

If you’re not wise as a serpent

You will never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh

Jesus said I give you power

The power of God, you can cast out devils

And as you go, I want you preach my word

Preach about the kingdom. The kingdom of heaven

Ah Heal the sick, cleanse all the lepers

Raise the dead. Freely you received, freely give

CHORUS

If you’re not harmless as doves

You will never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh

If you’re not wise as a serpent

You will never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh

If any man come unto me and hate not his father

And his mother and his beautiful wife too

And hate not his children, brothers and sisters

Yea his own life too, he cannot be my disciple

Whosoever doth not bear his cross

And come after me, he cannot be my disciple

CHORUS

If you’re not harmless as doves

You will never, never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh

If you’re not wise as a serpent

You will never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh

Don’t think about money, silver or gold,

Don’t even have two coats. I will provide for you

A disciple is not above his master. Just try to be like me

If they called me Beelzebub, you can expect trouble too

Whosoever receives you, he receives me too

If you lose your life for me, you will find your life, you will find your life again

If you’re not harmless as doves

You will never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh

If you’re not wise as a serpent

You will never, never, never make it

Uh uh uh
