Do Not Love the World My Brother

DO NOT LOVE THE WORLD MY BROTHER

47

INTRO

VERSE 1

Do not love not the world, my brother

And do not love the many things that are within this world

All that’s in the world, my brother

The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the pride of life,

The lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, the pride of life,

They are not of God

CHORUS

Whosever is a child of God is born of God

Will overcome

Greater is he that is in you, than in the world

You’ll overcome

I am living in this world but I’m not of this world

And so if I am a child of God, I’m born of God

I’ll overcome

VERSE 2

Don’t be friends with the world, my sister

Don’t you know that friendship with the world

Is enmity with God

If anyone loves the world, my sister

We know that the love of the father is not in him, is not in him

So if you make the world your friend

Then you can never be a friend of God

CHORUS

Whosever is a child of God is born of God

Will overcome

Greater is he that is in you, than in the world

You’ll overcome

I am living in this world but I’m not of this world

And so if I am a child of God, I’m born of God

I’ll overcome

CHORUS

Whosever is a child of God is born of God

Will overcome

Greater is he that is in you, than in the world

You’ll overcome

I am living in this world but I’m not of this world

And so if I am a child of God, I’m born of God

I’ll overcome

CHORUS

Whosever is a child of God is born of God

Will overcome

Greater is he that is in you, than in the world

You’ll overcome

I am living in this world but I’m not of this world

And so if I am a child of God, I’m born of God

I’ll overcome

And so if I am a child of God, I’m born of God

I’ll overcome

And so if I am a child of God, I’m born of God

I’ll overcome
