It’s so hard to stay pure

But I think to myself

And my beloved will be mine

And I’ll be my beloved’s

Just as God planned it

I cannot wait till the day when I can say

My beloved is mine and I am his

My beloved is mine and I am his 2X

We were out one night. We talked and talked

We had a real good time

We felt such love but then I knew

My beloved was not mine

I was not yet his

And I wondered when will I be able to say

My beloved is mine and I am his

My beloved is mine and I am his 2X

The day will finally come

God will make a way and I’ll on my way

With my beloved by my side

I’ll be married I’ll blessed

Singing everyday

And I will look into her eyes and say

My beloved, you are mine

You are mine at last

My beloved is mine and I am my beloved’s

My beloved is mine and I am his 2X

It felt so good to be together

I prayed that it will last forever

As we sat by pool side

He had a twinkle in his eyes

He said to me, ‘married at last’

And it’s forever

My beloved is mine and I am my beloved’s

My beloved is mine and I am his
