Vengeance Is Mine

VERSE 1

Jesus spoke in parables

One day He shared

A parable on prayer

Men ought always to pray,

To pray without ceasing

Dear brethren, Be careful for nothing;

But in every thing by prayer

By supplication

By thanksgiving

Let your requests

Be made known unto God.

CHORUS

I will repay says the Lord

Dearly beloved,

Avenge not yourselves,

But rather give place unto wrath…

VERSE 2

Jesus said unto them

Love your enemies,

Bless them that curse you,

Do good to them that hate you,

And pray for them which despise you

Just pray for them, my friend

Pray for those who persecute you

Keep praying my friend

Praying without ceasing

God rules in the affairs of all men

CHORUS

Vengeance is mine says the Lord

I will repay says the Lord

Dearly beloved,

Avenge not yourselves,

But rather give place unto wrath…

BRIDGE

But overcome evil

With good….

CHORUS

CHORUS

Vengeance is mine says the Lord

I will repay says the Lord

Dearly beloved,

Avenge not yourselves,

But rather give place unto wrath…

CHORUS

Vengeance is mine says the Lord

I will repay says the Lord

Dearly beloved,

Avenge not yourselves,

But rather give place unto wrath…

CHORUS

Vengeance is mine says the Lord

I will repay says the Lord

Dearly beloved,

Avenge not yourselves,

But rather give place unto wrath…
