Lyrics
CHORUS 1
Work on while you’re have the light
Work on while you have the light
The night comes when no man can work
So come on, get your tools and work
While you have the light
VERSE 1
The night is gone, the day is come
Gird up your loins
It’s time to work
Work on, while you have the light
Fight on, while you have the grace
Not long from now, light will be gone
Grace will be gone
CHORUS 1
Work on, while you have the light
Work on, while you have the light
The night comes, when no man can work
So come on, get your tools and work
While you have the light
VERSE 2
Fight the good fight, finish your course
And keep the faith, it’s time to move
Henceforth, there is laid up for me
A crown, crown of righteousness
One which the Lord, the righteous judge
Shall give to me
CHORUS 2
Fight on, while you have the grace
Fight on, while you have the grace
Fight on, while you have the grace
Oh come on, get your tools and work
While you have the light
VERSE 3
The grace of God that brings salvation
Hath now appeared to every man
Teaching us to deny worldly lusts
and ungodliness
live righteously and soberly in this
present world,
CHORUS 1
Work on, while you have the light
Work on, while you have the light
The night comes when no man can work
So come on, get your tools and work
While you have the light
